1. I found this infograph to be very helpful when thinking about the future of education because it is evaluating the evolution of education that has happened in the past few year and comparing it to the future of technology and estimating where education will be by the year 2040. I think could be a good gauge of what tech to incorporate into our project.
They also have bunch of these future projection infographs on different subjects on their website.
2. This is close to home project from KC called Mind Drive, a way to get high school student (many high risk for dropping out) involved with hands on learning about science, math and tech. They ended up building a car fueled off of social media buzz.
I think its great that high schoolers were given the chance to learn non-traditionally and now feel empowered to do anything they set their minds to.
(Just 4 fun) This video runs a bit long at 10 minutes, but it is worth the watch. What really struck me is that these elderly women are learning/using new technology to try flying in an airplane for the very first. These women are texting, video calling and even having a flight simulation.
